What are the conditions for activating Smart Simulation?

1. Requirements: Automation must be enabled

Smart Simulation is a feature that complements Cyber Coach’s automation. Therefore, it can only be activated if automation is already enabled on your account.

If automation is not yet activated when you attempt to activate Smart Simulation from the dashboard, you will be automatically redirected to the automation activation process. Once this process is complete, Smart Simulation will be activated automatically.

2. Smart Simulation is deactivated by default

Smart Simulation is deactivated by default. It must be enabled manually from your manager dashboard.

3. Activation requirements for a user

For a user to receive Smart Simulation campaigns, the following two conditions must be met:

  • Smart Simulation is enabled at the account level

  • Smart Simulation is enabled at the user level

Enabling Smart Simulation at the automation group level is not required: a user can receive Smart Simulation campaigns if the feature is enabled for their user account, even if it is disabled for their group.

💡 Activation is applied in a cascading manner: when activated at the account level, Smart Simulation is enabled for all associated groups and users. When activated at the group level, the feature is enabled for all users in that group.

4. Specific case: if you also have Protect

If your organization uses both Cyber Coach and Protect, Smart Simulation can analyze incoming emails via Protect to generate more complex and personalized campaigns. This analysis requires the explicit consent of each affected user.

However, consent is not required to enable Smart Simulation. Without recorded consent, the user will continue to receive tailored simulations, but these will be less complex and not personalized, as their emails received via Protect will not be analyzed.
