How do I respond to an authentication request?

Written by Remy

Here, we will explain how to respond to an authentication request you have received so that your email can be delivered to the recipient without them having to retrieve it manually from their Mailinblack interface.

After contacting a recipient protected by Mailinblack Protect, you should receive an email asking you to confirm that you are human:

You can click the "Click here" button, which will redirect you to a web page where you can complete the CAPTCHA and confirm that you are not a robot.

You may then encounter one of two different types of CAPTCHA, depending on your recipient's preferences:

  • A puzzle piece to move

  • A word cloud to complete

Puzzle piece

If you are presented with this CAPTCHA, use your mouse (or your finger if you are using a smartphone) to move the puzzle piece using the slider shown in the red box in the screenshot until it reaches the area shown in the green box.

Once completed, a confirmation page will appear informing you that your email has been successfully delivered to the recipient.

Word cloud

If you are presented with this type of CAPTCHA, simply enter the colored word you see in the text field (shown in the red box in the screenshot).

Recipients can customize both the words displayed and the color of the word you need to enter.

The word you need to enter may therefore appear in red, green, yellow, or another color.

Once you have entered the word, click the appropriate button to submit it.

Accessibility

For accessibility purposes, particularly for visually impaired users, you can use the CAPTCHA's audio feature. This allows you to listen to a word and then type it using your keyboard.

You can access this feature by clicking the headphones icon located next to the text input field.
