How does the warning banner work?

This feature is available to customers subscribed to the Protect Advanced offer.

1. What is this banner used for?

This feature integrates warning banners directly into received emails. These banners help identify suspicious or potentially dangerous emails and provide users with clear, actionable information to improve their vigilance against cyber threats.

2. How do I enable it?

To enable this banner, go to the Protect interface and open the Settings page. In General Settings, navigate to the Warning Banners section to activate the feature.

3. What are the different possible banners? And for what reasons?

Three types of banners may appear depending on the identified content:

  • A blue banner for informational emails (e.g., newsletters, first interactions).

  • A yellow banner for suspicious emails (e.g., spear phishing, spam).

  • A red banner for high-risk emails (e.g., explicit content, etc.).

Each banner displays a title and a subtitle tailored to the identified case. If multiple threats are detected, only the banner corresponding to the highest level of risk is shown. A maximum of three cases is displayed within the banner to ensure optimal readability.

4. What actions are available from the banner?

Users can interact directly with the banner to make decisions about suspicious emails.

Available actions :

  • Allow the sender: Adds the sender to the whitelist, with a confirmation displayed to the user.

  • Block the sender: Adds the sender to the blacklist, with a confirmation and a summary email sent to the user.

These actions enable users to manage their inbox efficiently while reducing the workload for managers.
