As the manager of your solution, you can enable Secure Link for all your users. Secure Link rewrites the links contained in your emails so they can be analyzed when clicked. You can configure exclusions to prevent certain links from being rewritten.
Log in to your Mailinblack Manager account and go to your Protect area. Click the Settings menu, then the General settings tab, and expand the Secure Link section.
1. The two types of exclusions
Secure Link offers two exclusion methods, each with different behavior:
Exclusion type | What is excluded | Effect |
URL exclusion (domain or regular expression) | Links pointing to a specific URL or domain | These links are never rewritten, regardless of where they come from |
Sender exclusion | All links contained in emails sent from a specific email address | These links are never rewritten when the email comes from that sender |
💡 In summary:
A URL exclusion applies to the link destination: the targeted URL will never be rewritten, regardless of who sends it.
A sender exclusion applies to the source of the email: all links contained in emails from that sender will never be rewritten, regardless of their destination.
2. Add a URL exclusion
In the Secure Link section of the general settings, click Add an exclusion.
You can exclude a URL in two ways:
By domain: all links pointing to that domain will be excluded (e.g.
google.com).
By regular expression: all links matching the defined pattern will be excluded.
3. Add a sender exclusion
In the Secure Link section of the general settings, click Add an exclusion and select Sender as the exclusion type.
Enter the email address of the sender you want to exclude.
⚠️ Important: this exclusion applies to all links contained in emails from that sender. If the sender were to send a malicious link, it would not be analyzed by Secure Link.
4. Result after adding an exclusion
Once the exclusion has been added, the affected links will no longer be rewritten by Secure Link and will be delivered to the user as they are.
