What learning pace should you adopt?

Here are a few tips on the right learning pace to follow.

Many studies have shown that learning is based on four main pillars:

  1. Attention: Attention keeps us alert and helps us focus by selecting, directing and filtering information. If attention is poorly directed, learning is hindered because we cannot learn what we do not notice.

  2. Active engagement: This directly stimulates curiosity and enthusiasm. It encourages the brain to test new hypotheses, get involved, explore with curiosity and therefore learn actively.

  3. Learning from mistakes: This allows us to compare our predictions with reality and learn from the results for next time. Mistakes are an essential part of learning. Prediction errors support supervised learning by providing detailed feedback on what went wrong.

  4. Consolidation: This helps automate and streamline what has been learned. It involves continuing to practise a mastered skill until it becomes routine.

Cyber Academy is made up of different modules, each containing several chapters on a variety of topics.

We recommend taking part in the training programme regularly. Ideally, complete one game every 10 days to support the learning process and reinforce what you have learned.

Training regularly helps you automate acquired knowledge and retain skills over the long term, while avoiding the illusion of mastery.

We also recommend replaying games several times when you encounter difficulties or hesitation, so that the information can be fully understood and retained.
